Palouse Surgeons, LLC, Expands With Addition Of Three New General Surgeons
Colfax, WA; Moscow, ID; and Pullman, WA - General surgery on the Palouse will become more available with the addition of three surgeons through a new cooperative venture among area hospitals. Recently Gritman Medical Center in Moscow, Pullman Regional Hospital in Pullman and Whitman Medical Center in Colfax combined efforts to form Palouse Surgeons, LLC, which will employ the general surgeons.
William Vincent, MD, who recently moved from Iowa, will join John Visger, MD, who has been practicing general surgery on the Palouse for the past three years. In July, Derrick Walker, DO, will join Palouse Surgeons upon completing his tour of duty in Afghanistan. A fourth general surgeon, Suzan Marshall, DO, will join Palouse Surgeons in October.
The new cooperative partnership and the addition of surgeons means that comprehensive general surgical care will be more readily available for everyone living on the Palouse and in surrounding areas, so you won't have to travel far to receive high-quality surgical care.
"The addition of these qualified surgeons, along with Dr. John Visger, who has been the mainstay of our surgical services program, provides a greater level of service and care to the community," says Scott Adams, CEO of Pullman Regional. "With the addition of Dr. Marshall as a fourth general surgeon, we believe that the area's three hospitals will now be able to provide an ideal level of service and access to general surgical care."
Dr. Visger is enthusiastic about the hospital venture. "I am excited to be involved with this cooperative effort," he says. "This is our best chance to establish a stable, high-quality general surgery practice that will meet the needs of the communities of the Palouse for the foreseeable future."
