Palouse Prostate Cancer Program Endowment
The Palouse Man to Man Prostate Cancer Support Group was created in March 2000 to assist men and their partners who are coping with prostate cancer, and to encourage community awareness of the disease and the need for early diagnosis. The program is an affiliate of the American Cancer Society (ACS) and sponsored by Pullman Regional Hospital. A wide variety of topics are addressed in monthly meetings, which often include a speaker and group discussion.
In 2005, the Palouse Prostate Cancer Program Endowment was established by the Palouse Man to Man Support Group and through private gifts. The Prostate Cancer Program Endowment provides a permanent base of funding for the educational work of the Support Group. The purpose of this work is to assist men in making treatment decisions, provide an educational resource to both patients and the community and help men and their partners cope with the traumas related to this disease.
